Bhuja Mix + Salad = =)
There are many ways of using the Bhuja Mix, not just by itself. Here's a particular favourite of ours, the recipe is on this page so you too can enjoy a great salad with Bhuja Mix.
The great thing about the Bhuja Mix is it's versatility in use. It's great tasting flavour can be used in a variety of ways, from entertaining house-guests to a healthy snack for your child's lunch box. Here are a few serving suggestions from us.
Bhuja Mix, Curried Cashews* and Grape Salad
Ingredients
Salad:
- ½ pkt (5 ounce) mixed salad greens
- ½ cup halved seedless red grapes
- ½ cup Kadods Bhuja Mix
- ½ cup cashew halves
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh coriander
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Dressing:
- 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
- In a large, dry skillet over medium-high heat, toast cashews until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Remove cashews to a dish to cool slightly.
- In a medium bowl, stir together butter, curry powder, brown sugar, salt, cayenne pepper, and toasted cashews. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, stir together white wine vinegar, mustard, and honey. Slowly whisk in olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large salad bowl, toss dressing with green, grapes, cashews and sprinkle with kadods Bhuja Mix.
